Deutsche Fassung und englisches Original
Am Mittwoch, dem 1. Juli 2026, veranstaltete die Kölner Sprechbar einen englischsprachigen Clubabend unter dem Motto „Step Up, Speak Out“. Kurzfristige Änderungen waren kein Hindernis: Mitglieder und Gäste übernahmen Verantwortung und machten den Abend in Köln zu einem gelungenen Erlebnis.
In der unterstützenden Gemeinschaft wurden vorbereitete Reden gehalten und XXL-Stegreifreden von drei bis fünf Minuten ausprobiert. Jede Rede und jede übernommene Rolle trug zum Erfolg bei.
Ausgezeichnet wurden Christian K. als bester Redner, Julia und Melanie für die besten Stegreifreden, Aleksandr als bester Bewerter, Evgeniya für die beste Verwendung des Wortes des Abends und Sarah mit dem Hammer als Toastmasterin des Abends.
Die Kölner Sprechbar stärkt Rhetorik, Kommunikation und Selbstvertrauen. Gäste sind ohne Anmeldung und Vorerfahrung willkommen. Treffen ist mittwochs: Aufbau ab 18:30 Uhr, Beginn um 19:00 Uhr.
Step Up, Speak Out — when a theme becomes the evening
On Wednesday, 1 July 2026, the Kölner Sprechbar held an English-language club evening under the theme Step Up, Speak Out — and the motto quickly became the story of the night itself. A few last-minute changes to the agenda were no obstacle: every member and guest stepped up, embraced the unexpected and helped create a smooth, engaging and memorable evening at the Cologne Toastmasters club.
Flexibility, teamwork and XXL Table Topics
The Kölner Sprechbar is a place to practise public speaking in Cologne within a supportive community — and this evening showed exactly why. Members and guests took on roles, delivered prepared speeches and jumped into the XXL Table Topics format, where impromptu talks run a challenging three to five minutes. Every contribution, from the main speeches to the many supporting roles, made a difference — and that is what makes the club so special.
