The Kölner Sprechbar, our Rhetorikclub in Köln, once again showed how Toastmasters International helps people learn to speak freely, build Self-Confidence, and improve communicative skills for career and personal growth.

🧠 Highlights of the Evening:

• Meral opened with a tip on courage and fear – emotions that can be trained through self-awareness and practice to support personal development and public speaking.

• Christian K. entertained with a spontaneous Yom Kippur joke, spreading laughter and ease.

🎤 Prepared Speeches:

• Melanie C. delivered the best prepared speech of the evening, “From Lab to Life”, transforming the physics of insulation into a lively and fascinating lesson on science and communication.

• Guest Peter explored Authenticity: when honesty empowers and when discretion protects.

⚡ Table Topics:
Led by S. Bahs, the spontaneous speeches were full of insight and humor.

• Tim reminded us that joy is essential to life.

• Ana explored self-awareness and human connection.
